I am pursuing my Ph.D. from the India and writing to seek your advice regarding my upcoming travel plans to the United States on an H-4 visa.

My husband is currently in the 60-day grace period of his H-1B status, which is set to end on June 24, 2025. His new employer is in the process of filing an H-1B transfer petition, but it has not been approved yet.

I currently hold a valid H-4 visa based on his previous H-1B employment and am planning to travel to the U.S. for the first time to attend and present at a conference in San Francisco from June 19 to June 24, 2025.

Given that he is in the grace period and not yet actively employed under the new H-1B, would I be allowed to enter the U.S. on my H-4 visa at this time? Are there any potential risks or complications I should be aware of when entering under these circumstances?

Is there any issue while port of entry is different than the actual city of stay.
My family is traveling to Chicago because there is a direct flight from Delhi to Chicago.
We live in Dallas. She is traveling with two kids so it is more convinient since Chicago is a direct flight from Delhi.
