So, let’s say you are staying in USA (or any other country) for more than a month or even couple of months. How long can travel insurance last? Will it stay for the entire trip or should you renew?

Typical travel insurance length – Typically, most travel insurance plans lasts for 30 – 45 days. So, if your trip is within that range, you’re all set. However if you are on longer stays, then the case is different.
Let’s say you are on a B2 tourist visa to US for several months (B2 visas are not more than 6 months), then what about insurance during that time?

If you are traveling for more than the time you are covered for by your travel insurance policy, you can extend your travel insurance by calling up your insurer or renewing your policy online. You’ll need to provide details of your travel etc showing proof that you are traveling on a later date. Once approved, your policy will get extended for the time you are traveling. Typically, you can buy days in 30 and 45 number, so you’ll need to extend plans in multiples o f 30 or 45.
