Provided by International Medical Group, this is a plan specially designed for non-US citizens. It provides comprehensive coverage for people up to 80 years of age, for 5 to 365 days, for travel as well as medical emergencies.

This is a comprehensive coverage plan that offers coverage from 5 days to 364 days. Offers up to $125,000 coverage on acute onset of pre-existing conditions and offers one of the most extensive PPO network.

  • Coverage for emergency dental treatment and eye exams
  • Acute onset of pre-existing conditions coverage up to $125,000 for those 69 and under, and up to $30,000 for ages 70-79.

3. Liaison Travel Choice

This too, is a comprehensive coverage plan (better compared to limited coverage plan) and offers coverage from 5 to 364 days (short visits). You can renew or cancel the plan after you’ve taken it (flexible) and offers a very good PPO network of Doctors you can visit should need arise. This plan offers up to $30,000 in coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions.

The Travel Companion Plan covers the insured against loss or delay or baggage, personal accidents, emergency evacuation, flight delay or cancellation and other medical contingencies. You can also get a cash advance in case of emergency cash need overseas. You can also avail additional benefits with packages like Travel Elite 61-70 and Travel Elite 71-75.

5. Religare Travel Insurance

Besides providing adequate cover for unforeseen medical and travel expenses overseas, this policy also covers your parent for any expense incurred due to a pre-existing medical condition. If your parent do not suffer from any serious medical illness or do not have problematic blood pressure, this policy is probably not for them, as pre-existing conditions are covered at very high premiums and you may not want to spend so much on a single trip insurance.

6. Tata AIG Travel Guard

Provided by TATA AIG, this insurance policy not only protects you against medical and travel emergencies, it also gives you the flexibility to enhance your assured sum and renew it for life. Besides providing the general flight delay and cancellation benefits, it also has flight hijack and terrorism benefits.

7. Chola Overseas Travel Protection Policy

Provided by Chola MS, this is another policy that provides cover for pre-existing medical conditions. This plan also gives distress allowances in case of plane hijack and flight delay of more than 12 hours. In case of theft or robbery, the Chola Overseas Travel Protection Policy offers a fixed sum as emergency assistance to policyholders.
