India’s aviation minister Mr.Puri has announced in a series of tweets that India Govt. is seriously considering operating international flights to India, as soon as foreign counties start accepting Indian citizens.
Currently, only Air India flights are operating from other countries to India, under the Vande Bharat mission.
However, there is a huge demand from NRIs overseas, wanting to travel to India and abroad. Many web portals have even allowed ticket booking for July, 2020 but there is no confirmation on what flights are operating.
If India Govt. decides to restart international flights to and from India, then most international flights to international destinations like Dubai and USA are expected to be available. Right now, there is no clarity on it though.
Possibly by June end, most of, if not all international flights will be reinstated and Indians abroad and in India will be able to travel to and from India.
Indian citizens and OCI cardholders who wish to travel on evacuation flights under Vande Bharat mission may book tickets to India via Air India post June 11th themselves. However, they should be registered via the Indian embassy abroad.
